A big warm welcome to all the participants who all arrived in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday 28th July.
On this 5 week expedition the majority of the participants are from the UK but there are a couple of guys from Hong Kong and one from Malaysia.

They were all taken straight from the airport to Traverse Activity Centre (commonly known as "jungle camp"), about an hour's drive away from KK. There were a lot of tired faces for the first couple of days but now, three days later, they are all looking well rested and are ready to go off to their project sites.
The participants left TAC at lunch time today for a hostel in KK where they spent the afternoon receiving the tools, equipment and food that they will have to take with them for the next three weeks.
All the groups will deploy early tomorrow morning....we wish them all the best for coming weeks.

Hello Snookie - At last some photos - so great to see you safe and sound and yet again with your eyes shut in a photo!!! Have written you two letters and will write again tonight. Just picked Bimbo up from the airport. He had a fantastic time in S Africa (and even scored two goals; wot? I thought he was a defender?!) Gracie has just made me gourmet chunky chips (sorry darling). How are the noodles going? Stayed the night with Nancy in Marlow. They can't wait to meet you. All animals and Father well - new chickens not laying yet. 10 million, moon, stars, etc. Must go now to watch BB (yawn, Gracie bonding!!!)
